Jesus is coming again to judge the world

We know that Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God, came to this earth. He preached for 3 1/2 years. He was crucified for His preaching. He was buried in a borrowed tomb. And, three days later He rose from the dead. After rising from the dead, He spent 40 days with His disciples teaching them things concerning the Kingdom of God (Acts 1:3). He then ascended back into Heaven where He had come from. As the disciples watched Him ascend, angels appeared with the promise that Jesus would return again (Acts 1:11).

The Bible states, unequivically, that Jesus shall come again. It does NOT say He might come again; it does NOT say there’s a good probability of His return; it does NOT say the odds are in favor of His returning. The Bible states “He shall come again!”

*Please take your Bible and read the following Scriptures:*

1. Jesus Himself promised His return – John 14:1-3

5. Peter writes of His return – 1Peter 1:13

The time of His coming is unknown to man or angels. Even Jesus Himself did not know the time of His return while He was still on earth (Mark 13:32-33).

When Jesus returns, He will find the world full of pride and mockery (2Peter 3:3-7), as well as indifference and immorality (Luke 17:26-30). The Bible also teaches that compared to the number of lost, only a few will be saved (Matthew 7:13-14). Fortunately, there will be some who “welcome” His return (2Timothy 4:7-8).

The Scriptures also teach us that there is a specific reason for His return, and it is not for the purpose of giving people a second chance at salvation (Hebrews 9:26-28); that was the purpose of His first coming (Luke 19:10). He is coming to raise the dead (John 5:28-29), with a tremendous sound that will be simultaneously heard around the world (1Thessalonians 4:16), and it will all happen in the twinkling of an eye (1Corinthians 15:52). All the clocks around the world shut down; time will cease; Judgment begins. All will be judged according to the “Gospel” (Romans 2:16), and their adherence to it (2Corinthians 5:10).

Jesus Himself asked, “When the Son of Man returns, will He find faith on earth?” (Luke 18:8). Since faith comes by hearing the Word (Romans 10:17), Jesus asked, “When the Son of Man returns, will He find anyone adhering to God’s Word?” Are you one of the “few?”
