The narrow road (Mt. 7:14-15)

MT. 7:14-15 – For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it.  15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.

b)    Multiple times in the Old Testament we read about there being only “one true God.”
5)    We may not have too much difficulty believing in just one true God, but plenty of other people do.

THERE IS ONLY ONE SAVIOR.

1)    In Jn. 14:6 the Bible says Jesus is “the way, the truth, and the life.”
2)    Acts 4:12 says Jesus Christ is the only one through whom man can receive salvation.
3)    The Old Testament and the New Testament.
a)    If we want to be on the narrow road, we must follow the New Testament and nothing else.
b)    James referred to this as the “perfect law of liberty” in Jas. 1:25.
4)    There are people who object to following just the New Testament for various reasons.
a)    Some want to go back to Old Testament and follow at least a part of it.
b)    Some know the Old Testament has been removed, but they are not content to abide by just the NT.
5)    The Bible says God’s word provides us with all we need (2 Tim. 3:16-17).
6)    2 Tim. 4:3 specifically refers to people who would not stick with “sound doctrine.”

d)    John referred to this as the “Lord’s day” in Rev. 1:10.
2)    The Lord “has His day” and this day is the one appointed for New Testament worship.
a)    1 Cor. 11:20 and 1 Cor. 16:1-2, some have it monthly.
